As an extended effect Rudos is also creating work for people in the local community.
Six people are employed in the house. One "mother, two "aunties" one social worker and two security guards.
Creating workplaces is very valuable in a country with very high unemployment.
When building the house, animal shelters, furnitures etc - we are using local tradesmen.
We have chosen to use volunteers and employees from the local community rather then sending volunteers from Norway.
We want the children to have as close to a normal upbringing as possible, and that is difficult to achieve with volunteers that are staying for a short period, and when the children have bonded with them they are going home again.
